UniRank African University Ranking recently published the 2023 top 200 recognized higher-education institutions in Africa for their good governance practices and web visibility provided by independent web intelligence sources. UniRank is a non-academic League Table of the top Universities in Africa based on valid, unbiased and non-influenceable web metrics provided by independent web intelligence sources rather than data submitted by the Universities themselves. Universities are ranked based on the following criteria:
1. Being chartered, licensed or accredited by the appropriate higher education-related organization in each country
2. Offering at least three-year bachelor’s degrees or postgraduate master’s or doctoral degrees and
3. Delivering courses predominantly in a traditional, non-distance education format.
