The RUFORUM Board Executive Committee at its sitting of 28th July 2022 agreed on the venues for the RUFORUM Annual General Meetings (AGMs) and Triennial Conferences for the period 2023 – 2030. The 2023 AGM will be hosted by the Government of Cameroon and the five RUFORUM Member Universities in Cameroon. Subsequently, the 2024 Triennial Conference will be held in Namibia while the 2025 and 2026 Annual General Meetings will be held in Zambia and Ethiopia respectively.
The Board Executive Committee further agreed that the 2027 and 2030 Triennial Conferences be held in Uganda. The 2028 Annual General Meeting will be hosted by the Government of Malawi and 13 RUFORUM Member Universities in Malawi. The venue for the Annual General Meeting of 2029 is still to be confirmed.
The RUFORUM Board Chair Professor Theresia Nkuo-Akenji expressed her gratitude to the different African Governments for offering to host the Annual and Triennial Convenings. She emphasized that the RUFORUM Convenings are held in different African countries purposely to create better knowledge and appreciation of the continent. She and her colleagues in Cameroon looks forward to hosting the RUFORUM community and other Stakeholders in 2023 RUFORUM Annual General Meeting.
